Cybersecurity E-Communications Surveillance & Recordkeeping Consultant

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Help shape and implement robust e-communications surveillance and recordkeeping frameworks for leading financial institutions.

The Role

Capco is looking for a Cybersecurity E-Communications Surveillance & Recordkeeping Consultant to support a major financial services client as they move from assessment into implementation of their E-Communications Surveillance and Recordkeeping Framework.

You'll play an important role in designing and implementing an end-to-end first line of defense (1LOD) recordkeeping framework and target operating model. The engagement will span process design, governance, controls, technology requirements, testing, deployment and transition to BAU.

A core priority will be establishing an automated reconciliation control that links the population required to be journalized and surveilled with corresponding archived e-communications across tools and business channels.

What You'll Do

Design and implement an end-to-end 1LOD recordkeeping framework and target operating model, including process maps, RACI, journalisation rules, governance, controls and resource requirements.

Develop an automated reconciliation control linking the population required to be journalized and surveilled with corresponding archived e-communications by tool and business channel.

Translate business and control requirements into mock-ups and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), working closely with technology teams throughout development.

Support roadmaps, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution and implementation readiness across business and technology stakeholders.

Drive change management, training, deployment and transition activities to embed the framework successfully into BAU operations.

What We're Looking For

Experience delivering cybersecurity, e-communications surveillance, recordkeeping, controls or related technology and regulatory change initiatives within financial services.

Strong understanding of 1LOD control frameworks, governance, operating models and the implementation of effective business and technology controls.

Experience translating complex business, regulatory and control requirements into clear process maps, RACIs, BRDs and implementation requirements.

Experience working across business and technology teams through development, testing, deployment and transition to BAU.

Strong stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Bonus Points For

Experience implementing automated reconciliation controls within an e-communications surveillance or recordkeeping environment.

Knowledge of journalization, electronic communications archiving and surveillance platforms across multiple business channels.

Experience delivering technology-enabled regulatory or compliance transformation within a Tier 1 financial institution.

Familiarity with UAT, change management, training and large-scale implementation activities.

Consulting experience supporting complex financial services transformation programs.
